Nova Scotia is situated in the eastern corner of Canada. Save for an isthmus that connects it to the province of New Brunswick and the rest of Canada, Nova Scotia is almost completely surrounded by the North Atlantic ocean. Along the Bay of Fundy shore, on the north, are the highest tides in the world. The Sunrise shore to the east boasts of the warmest waters north of the Carolinas. To the north east is Cape Breton, a little piece of Scotland on this side of the ocean. Along the eastern coast is some of the most spectacular, bold shoreline you'll ever see. In the south-west, fishing villages nestled in quiet inlets and coves speak of a proud and ancient tradition of wresting a living from the ocean. And Buttercup Cottages are right in the centre, offering you a secluded yet convenient base from which to launch your sightseeing adventure ... or a tranquil haven in which to wile away some quiet time.
