Come and join us at Buttercup Cottages, next to the famous Lighthouse Route. This is the Nova Scotia you have been dreaming about. Make yourself at home in one of our two-bedroom or three bedroom cottages. Each has a large eat-in kitchen, separate living room, 4-piece bath, and spacious bedrooms equipped with different combinations of queen size, double, or twin beds. The kitchens are fully equipped with fridge, stove, microwave oven, coffee maker, dishes, pots, glassware, and so on. All linens and towels are also included.

Each cottage also has cable TV, telephone, deck or veranda, barbeque, picnic tables, plenty of outside deck chairs, and a private lot with no road between you and the ocean. And there are board games, cards, books, and badminton. Complimentary bicycles and helmets are available for use.

Buttercup Cottages are conveniently located half way between Lunenburg and Mahone Bay. Either town is five minutes away. In Lunenburg you can stroll along tree-lined streets among elegant, century-old homes. These well-kept, stately buildings have earned the town a United Nations designation as a World Heritage Site. Partake of the local cuisine which, of course, focuses on seafood including lobster, fresh scallops, plank salmon, and much more. And there's plenty to do to help you work up an appetite, too.

There's lots of shopping, marine wildlife cruises, the Atlantic fisheries museum, guided walking tours, golfing, fishing, and a wide variety of festivals and events . Mahone Bay also offers many exciting attractions, each distinctly different from those in Lunenburg. The Buttercup Cottages are also minutes away from beautiful beaches; Kingsburg, Bachman's, and Westhaver to name just three. Day trips will take you to the Annapolis Valley and Port Royal, as well as the colourful Halifax waterfront, Peggy's Cove, and Ross Farm.

And then, at the end of your day of exploring, return to Buttercup Cottages, put your feet up, sit under the trees, read a book, have a cold drink, or just look out over the water. Everything you need is supplied. Just bring your suitcase, kick off your shoes and relax!
